Why Autumn Is The Best Season

School starting is the sign that fall is on the way! It would be a lie if I told you any other season is my favorite. Below, I have compiled my top 10 reasons I am looking forward to fall!
   1) Foliage: Everything is prettier in fall. With the Fall comes beautiful leaves turning from green into a Golden, brown, orange color. My favorite thing to do during the fall is go for a car ride on a road covered with trees and look at the beautiful scenery.
   2) Pumpkin Spic Latte: I look forward to this drink all year. As soon as Starbucks puts the Pumpkin Spice Latte on their menu, it is a sign fall has arrived.
   3) Halloween: Everyone, young or old, loves a good excuse to dress up on this day. And this is the perfect reason to quote Mean Girls.

   4) Pumpkin Butterscotch Muffins: Oh goodness! These muffins are so delicious. I could eat 20 at a tine. Whenever these are made at my house (quite often during the fall season) they are gone within minutes. As gifts, I make these for my friends or teachers fall semester. I blogged the recipe last year so if you are interested in making them click here
   5) Football: I am not a big fan of NFL football but once football season starts at my school, I like to show my spirit. I wear my school sports, color beads, team (temporary) tattoos, and the color coordinating bows. I don't always know what is happening during the game but I still cheer anyways!

   6) Scarves: I love to put on a light weight scarf to keep you warm in the mornings. My favorite color during the fall season is a plum knit scarf because it matched the darker colors in my fall wardrobe.

   7) Boots: Wether it be Riding Boots, Cowboy Boots, Hunter Boots or Combat boots, all look cute to pair with outfits in the fall.
   8) Thanksgiving: This is a favorite holiday among many because it's when families come together to celebrate each other and eat as much as they can. You have the lovely mashed potatoes, casseroles and corn, the big Smoked Turkey and all of your desserts. Pumpkin pie, Apple pie, Pecan pie, Cheery pie, cookies, brownies, muffins, cake etc. Oh and don't forget the sweet tea ;)

   9) Lauren James Company T-shirts: I love comfy t-shirts and I love comfort colors. This Company combines the too! When I think of fall these T-shirts always pop into my mind. My favorite T-shirt of theirs being the one above which says Put Some Prep In Your Step. I'm not sure if it's the boot on the t-shirt or what but this shirt is just adorable.
   10) Everything is just better in autumn!
I Hope after reading this post you have fallen in love with fall just as I have!
                                      XOXO,

Name Reveal & Get Ready With Me!

Hey y'all! Today is the first official day of summer!! Today is a very exciting day! C and I are proud to announce that we will start going by our first names!!! My name is Sarah and I will be going by Sarah C from now on! I am so glad that you guys know even more about me now and hope that it will allow us to connect even more! Anyways, now on to getting ready with me!
I usually get up every morning around 8am but recently I have been sleeping in until 10!! Once I wake up, I make my way upstairs, put my hair in a ponytail and brush my teeth/ wash my face. I use Avar cleanser in the morning to wash my face. After washing my face, I apply my Cetaphil moisturizer.   I then proceed to make breakfast. Usually I can be found eating half a bagel (cream cheese or peanut butter), 2 scoops of greek yogurt with granola and some type of tea. (usually english morning tea, earl grey or mint) in my british mug while watching the news. About this time I decide I would no longer like to stay in my pajamas and travel back down stairs to do my makeup and get dressed.

Every morning I have trouble figuring out what to wear. I have so many options and so many thing can affect what I wear. i.e., temperature, today's activities, how lazy I am feeling etc! :) Today I decided to wear a plain white shirt with the polo logo on the front accompanied with black J.crew shorts to match the logo. Once I figure what I am wearing, I proceed to makeupify my face! I walk out to my makeup table outside my room.

Everyday I use Covergirl Outlast 3-1 foundation in the shade ivory. Since I am so pale, it is hard to find a foundation to match my skin tone but this foundation matches it perfectly! After foundation, I use my Covergirl concealer in creamy natural to cover up under eye circles and blemishes. I use my elf pressed powder and Clinique blush in Smoldering Plum. Then I use Maybelline eyeshadow singles in the color Earthly Taupe followed by my Le Crayon Yeux Chanel eyeliner on my tight line in the shade Violet Smoke (given to me by Caroline). I quickly curl my lashes and apply 2 coats of whichever waterproof mascara I grab first. Then I take a spool brush dipped in vaseline and shape my brows.
Though it seems like a lot, I have this routine cut down to a total

8 minutes! For a quick hairstyle you can do while running out the door, I grab a 1 1/2 inch section of hair on the frontish side of my head and braid down to the ends and voila! You are ready to leave the house looking stylish, confident and ready to conquer anything that comes your way!
I hope y'all have a wonderful summer! If you have any suggestions for future posts then let me know in the comments below!

Obsession Overload

Hello lovlies! With the summer having just begun, I have had more down time to read, watch tv, and shop. I thought today I would share my current obsessions with you so that you may join me in obsessing.
Seeing Seersucker: Okay, seersucker just might be the death of my bank account! I am obsessed with this pattern. I am am trying to find some inexpensive navy and blue seersucker pants so if any of y'all know where to find some let me know! I think seersucker shorts are oh so cute and seersucker pajama pants are even cuter!!!!
Monogram madness: I used to be very opposed to monogram. My thoughts were, "do you really have to initial everything to make sure you don't loose it???" I was completely wrong! My aunt bought me a small seersucker pouch with my monogram on it and I was in love. I then proceeded to order a 36 inch wooden monogram that should be coming very soon in the mail (I am so excited) that I am going to paint and hang in my room (pictures to come). I purchased mine at mintjulepmonograms.com I am also looking into a white tank top with my monogram (in an american flag print) on it from the shop DarlinMonograms on Etsy.
BB Cream: My new favorite skin care routine now includes BB cream! My current favorite is Bare Minerals BB cream. Unfortunately, I am way too pale for the lightest shade they offer. I blend this product into my skin that you don't really notice but I hope to get a rockin tan this year! (which will never happen because I am pale enough to be Edward Cullen's sister)
Youtubers: I have been scouting youtube for my next favorite youtuber and I have found her!! Her name is Glamourkate08. She has more of a preppy style and is so talented at what she does! She has inspired me to beg my parents to let me create a youtube channel! *Fingers crossed*
Lovin Lilly: I have recently been obsessed with the spring/ summer lilly prints! Which is your favorite? I really like Watch Out which has cute red light houses on them and Lobstah Rolls with little lobsters!
Adorable Aviators: I recently picked up a pair of super cute aviators from target! They are rose gold on the front and the sides are a salmon color, my favorite :)
Since it is summer, I plan to upload once a week if not more! I have a big ballet recital with C tomorrow, wish us luck! If you have any comments, concerns or would like us to get to know you, comment away!
                                                                                         XOXO,
                                                                                              S

Summer Church Outfit

Hey y'all! Church is a big part of my life. Every Sunday I wake up at 7 am to get ready to attend my church. Recently, it has gotten quite hot down in the south so I thought I would share with y'all what I wear (in variation) to church during the summer.
Dress: During the summer I find it hard to wear shorts to church because 1) You have to make sure they are appropriate and 2) It is quite difficult to dress up shorts. For this reason I find myself usually wearing dresses but also the occasional skirt. My recent favorite dress is a green Ponte- Knit Shift Dress from Old Navy. I purchased this dress for easter and ended up not wearing it so recently I have been trying to get my money's worth out of it. The dress is very comfortable. The material is stretchy and oh so soft! I also like the shape and feel as though the lines complement my body. I purchased a large due to the fact they were out of mediums. In the future, if I purchase this dress in another color, neon pink or dark grey, I would buy a medium. I bought this dress when all Old Navy dresses were $15 but now you can pick this dress up for $18.

Jewelry: To go along with the dress I like to wear some pearl earrings and a pearl necklace. By no means are my pearls real but when I wear them they make me feel sophisticated and classy. I also purchased a statement necklace from Old Navy recently that had the colors of the dress in it that I like to wear too. Unfortunately I don't have a picture to show y'all but any necklace that has the color green, dark blue or light blue would look spectacular!

Shoes: I purchased a pair of small heeled shoes from a naturalizer outlet about 2 years ago. These shoes are tan and white and have a gold lining all around the shoe. I bought the shoes at the time because I thought it would be great to have a neutral shoe in my closet. When I first bought the shoes I wore them for one day and had painful blisters that soon followed. I was weary to try these shoes again but they look great with the outfit and give it a nice touch. You could also pair this outfit with some Tory Burch flats, possibly sperrys or even Jack Rodgers. I sadly do not own a pair of Jack Rodgers (yet) but I feel they would make this look very classy. I would personally wear the platinum Jack Rodgers but any would look super cute!

Hair: Recently I have been wearing my hair like essie button located to the right. My hair is a little bit longer than essie button's and is about an inch below my shoulders ( I recently got it cut). All I do is curl my hair and brush it through to create loose curls that create a sort of beachy wave while still trying to look natural.

Nails: Recently I have been loving any mint, salmon or lilac colors on my nails so any shade of those colors would look great!

Purse: I have had my purse FOREVER! This is the longest time I have ever used a purse without changing it out. C actually found it for me at H&M for $36! To the left is a very similar but not exact match of the amazing purse I have in use. I use my purse to carry my glasses, bible, water bottle, notebook, and any makeup for touchups or hygiene essentials. I love the color of the bag because you can use it all year round!!!

I hope you enjoyed my Summer Church Outfit! I obviously tweak things here and there since I can't wear the same thing every week! :) Comment down below what your favorite item for the summer time and church is and I'll talk to y'all later!
                                                                                               Love,
                                                                                                    S

Chacos review!

Going through a checklist for my mission trip I noticed the words tennis shoes and comfortable walking sandals. I have old dirty tennis shoes that were bearable to walk in so I checked those off my pack list. I was racking my mind trying to remember if I had comfortable walking sandals. Once I came to the conclusion I had no such pair of shoe, I started looking online. Chaco kept popping up as the number one result in google. I click the website and started to shop. I read about the shoes and fell in love with the idea of them. I only had 1 problem, the price. The pair I wanted were $100! I wasn't sure if I could swing this buy because it was literally a week before I went on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic that I had been saving for all fall.    I talked it over with my parents and we decided it was best to go into REI and try the shoes on, decide if they were comfortable and worth this big chunk of money. Walking up to the Chaco shoe section is a bit intimidating! There are so many patterns, styles and straps. Luckily there was a very kind worker lady who saw the concerned look on my face and decided to help me. I knew I wanted a toe strap so we looked at all the toe strap models they offered (ZX/2 Yampa sandal) . I couldn't decide between the colors light beam or Fiesta. I was around a size 8 with a little growing room. I finally decided on the color Light Beam because it matched with everything!! The lady was very nice and let me walk around the whole store with the shoes on to see if I felt comfortable or not. Within 10 minutes of wearing these shoes I was in love!
I walked up to the cash register and gave them my cash. I was so excited to finally own of pair of the famous chacos! I wore that pair everyday for the next week, people probably thought I had no other shoes! Breaking them in was a rough experience, I got tiny blisters on both my feet. I pushed through and finally broke them in before the trip. I am so glad I got chaos and don't know what I would have done on the trip without them! I wore them everyday and in the ocean to protect my feet! Overall, they are worth the money and come in many fun shades and patterns! Now all I need is a Chaco tan!
Do you like your Chacos? What's your favorite color or pattern? Do you love or hate the toe strap? Tell me in the comments below!

OOTW- Spring Edition

Georgia is in the awkward stage of the seasons. On any given day it could be 20 degrees and the next it could be in the mid 70's. This has caused me to struggle because I can never find the right outfit for church. Well chaps, I believe I have cracked the code!!!
So the day I created this outfit, the weather was forecast as 40 degrees in the morning warming up to 60 in the afternoon. I was worried I would get cold with just a dress so I popped my mom's jean jacket over. My legs were now the only part of me covered in goose bumps. To fix this problem, I put some black tights on I got from Francesca's. To top off the look I wore my Steve Madden boots. My hair was down with a lace braid on the side.

Valentine's Day Outfit Ideas

Hello lovlies! Are you ready for Valentine's day? What's your favorite part about this special day?To be honest, my favorite part about Valentine's day is the candy, especially the candy hearts, even if my mom thinks they taste like chalk ;) Today I felt inspired to share some cute Valentine's day outfits that can accommodate all the tomboys and girly girls out there.

Outfit 1: This outfit is cute and super simple! My top is from H&M however I bought it at Plato's Closet. The shirt is sheer and has black polkadots all over. I layered a white V-neck tank top underneath. I paired the top with neon pink skinny jeans. The jeans are from Forever 21 but I also bought these pants at Plato's Closet. Any colored pants would look extremely cute with this (or any other patterned top). For shoes, I have a pair of solid black flats that have zipper flowers on them. Again, I bought theses at Plato's Closet (see a common theme???) For jewelry, I am wearing a braided bracelet I got as a gift from the Philippines and a gold squirrel ring I purchased at Forever 21.

Outfit 2: For this outfit, I paired a cute top, cardigan and patterned jeans together. The top I bought at Forever 21, It was sold as a pajama top but I repurposed it! It says "Have Tea with Me" with a heart so I thought it would be fitting to include in this post. The maroon cardigan (it looks purple in the picture) was purchased at H&M last summer. It has little jewels for buttons and makes me very happy when I wear it!! For bottoms, I have a pair of really cool patterned pants I purchased again from H&M. I topped off the look with Steve Madden combat boots.

Outfit 3: For this look, I went a little more casual and comfortable. The top is from J. Crew and oh so comfy!! It has gray and blue stripes, a pocket, and is a bit oversized. I paired these with the jeans from the first look as I feel the colors complement each other. For shoes I finished the look with brown Sperry Topsiders.

I am really excited to wear one of these looks on Valentine's Day!! Which one should I wear?? If you have a favorite, comment down below the Number (1, 2 or 3) of the outfit you think I should wear. Have a good holiday!!
                                                                                                                            Love,

C's Fall Favorites

My Fall Favorites
Boots, scarves, crunchy leaves. No wonder fall is so romantic! This crisp, cool time of year is always inspiring to me. So, here are some of my favorite things about fall.
*All opinions are my own. None of these companies know who I am. Please keep in mind that my complaints may not be an issue for you. Every consumer is different.

Boots. These are, perhaps, the best style of shoe. They are versatile, comfortable, and warm. Most fall days see me wearing skinny, or even boot-cut, jeans tucked into some brown leather boots. I am a big fan of Steve Madden and currently own his Candence Leather Boots in Cognac. The amount of compliments I received on these boots was insane. I purchased them two years ago and was one of the few wearing them. The fall after I had puchased mine, everyone had a pair, they are a hit! Unfortunately, these are no longer available and have been replaced by the Craave Boot(such an odd name, especially for a shoe, right?). While the two are very similar, the Craave has a buckle on the back that I am not too keen on. Also the cognac Craave boot is darker than The Candence Boot in Cognac.
The Candence Boot (discontinued)                         The Craave Boot (currently available)

I also love combat boots right now. I own the Steve Madden Troopa Boot in Brown. They offer many colors to choose from. I love the heel on these boots. Originally I was unsure about a medium sized heel because I am almost 5' 9'' as it is. However, they do not make me look like an Amazon, they are comfortable and versatile and pair well with almost anything. My only complaint is that you must be careful around surfaces that could, potentially, scratch the leather on these boots. After having them for a week, I was climbing some concrete steps and the toe of both boots was scraped and showed a small white line on each boot. Lesson learned, don't walk too close to the steps. I do still wear them, the lines are hardly noticeable to others.

My latest fall shoe is the Hunter Wellington Boot. Hunter has been around since World War I, thats right Downton Abbey fans Matthew probably wore a pair in the trench. These are made to be worn in the rain, they are all natural rubber. Mine are the Tour Packable Boot, the only difference between mine and the original is that the Tour bends and is great for packing in suitcases. I did notice that the shade of green the Tour is offered in is slightly different from either shades of green that the Original boot comes in. My advice, find a store that carries these and try them on in person. This way you know what size you need, these boots run small, what color you like, and whether you want the Original or the Tour. I almost ordered mine online. Thankfully, I went to Nordstrom and tried them on instead. Originally, I had thought I would be better off with the original. I was skeptical about the durability of the Tour. However, upon trying on the original, I found them to be a little too stiff for my taste. I then tried on the Tour and found them to be extremely comfortable and not at all flimsy. I love my pair and know you will too!

Fall items: Bath & Body Works Slatkin & Co. three wick candle in Leaves
This candle smells just like fall. Crisp, crunchy leaves accompany fresh apples and a hint of spice. Everything comes together beautifully!

Tea Forte Sweet Orange Spice (loose): This just may be my favorite tea of all time. If you are a cinnamon fan this tea is your new best friend. Spicy cinnamon and zesty orange flow together to create the perfect fall blend.

OPI in Russian Navy: Navy blue and I go way back. This deep, sultry beauty is flecked with just enough glimmer and beautiful indigo nuances.

Statement Necklaces: I'm always impressed by anyone who can find a way to make bright colored jewelry work for fall.

My Ideal Fall Outfit

FALL
Happy Tuesday Wellie Wearers! Today I wanted to share a fall outfit that I made using Polyvore. Sadly, I do not own any of these items. However, I created this as somewhat of a suggestion for a new outfit. I am a huge fan of chunky sweaters! If I could, I would wear one everyday. This style of sweater is great for layering with necklaces, scarves, or vests. Skinny jeans are also a staple of mine. Usually I throw on a pair of leather boots with skinny jeans, (i will be sharing my favorite fall boots and other fall staples sometime this week) but I felt that leather boots and a leather bag was a bit too much for this outfit, so I went with some fun black loafers. Finally, I pulled it all together with a novelty clock necklace. As I said before, there are many ways to create a similar look using different colors or similar pieces. If you have similar things in your closet, go for it! I encourage you to get creative and experiment with new styles and textures! One of my favorite quotes says, "You will never influence the world by trying to be like it."
What are your fall staples? Tell me in the comments!
