Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector | Product Rave

I'm sure at some point on this blog I have mentioned that I am not a lip gloss person. This may have you saying- C, the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors are lipglosses and this is supposedly a product rave. Well, dear readers, I'm afraid I must make an exception for the Clarins ILNLP's. After picking one up at Nordstrom yesterday, I am already looking at swatches of other shades. I am very impressed!
All right first of all, the packaging  of these is bloody gorgeous!! Now, onto what's inside. I picked  up the shade 01 Rose Shimmer which is very similar to my natural lip color. A "my lips but sheenier" if you will. The formula of these is unlike anything I have ever tried. It's best described as a liquid lip balm. Not at all sticky or slippy, no hair stuck to your lips! It does give a nice sheeny glow to your lips, but not at all shimmery or insanely shiny.  And, as if you needed another reason to pick one up, the scent is definitely the best scent of any makeup product I have EVER tried. I'm not usually too fond of vanilla scents, but ,
blimey, these smell incredible! I have to resist not licking it all off to see if it tastes just as amazing! The applicator is also quite unique. It's a foam tip that squeezes out little bubbles of this magic lip wear. The price tag is a little steep- it retails for $23. If you find yourself struggling with the price, ask yourself this- am I willing to spend the same amount on several cheep lip products? If the answer is yes, then I say go for it!
Have you tried the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors? What do you think?

Valentine's Day Outfit Ideas

Hello lovlies! Are you ready for Valentine's day? What's your favorite part about this special day?To be honest, my favorite part about Valentine's day is the candy, especially the candy hearts, even if my mom thinks they taste like chalk ;) Today I felt inspired to share some cute Valentine's day outfits that can accommodate all the tomboys and girly girls out there.

Outfit 1: This outfit is cute and super simple! My top is from H&M however I bought it at Plato's Closet. The shirt is sheer and has black polkadots all over. I layered a white V-neck tank top underneath. I paired the top with neon pink skinny jeans. The jeans are from Forever 21 but I also bought these pants at Plato's Closet. Any colored pants would look extremely cute with this (or any other patterned top). For shoes, I have a pair of solid black flats that have zipper flowers on them. Again, I bought theses at Plato's Closet (see a common theme???) For jewelry, I am wearing a braided bracelet I got as a gift from the Philippines and a gold squirrel ring I purchased at Forever 21.

Outfit 2: For this outfit, I paired a cute top, cardigan and patterned jeans together. The top I bought at Forever 21, It was sold as a pajama top but I repurposed it! It says "Have Tea with Me" with a heart so I thought it would be fitting to include in this post. The maroon cardigan (it looks purple in the picture) was purchased at H&M last summer. It has little jewels for buttons and makes me very happy when I wear it!! For bottoms, I have a pair of really cool patterned pants I purchased again from H&M. I topped off the look with Steve Madden combat boots.

Outfit 3: For this look, I went a little more casual and comfortable. The top is from J. Crew and oh so comfy!! It has gray and blue stripes, a pocket, and is a bit oversized. I paired these with the jeans from the first look as I feel the colors complement each other. For shoes I finished the look with brown Sperry Topsiders.

I am really excited to wear one of these looks on Valentine's Day!! Which one should I wear?? If you have a favorite, comment down below the Number (1, 2 or 3) of the outfit you think I should wear. Have a good holiday!!

Re-painting My Room!

Original Turquoise paint color
Due to my love of all things british, I decided to give my room a makeover! Over the summer I found a really good deal on a distressed british flag comforter at Bed Bath and Beyond. I decided to gradually keep adding to my room, finding unique pieces to make my room one of a kind. I formerly had a turquoise color in my room (picture to the right) and came to the conclusion I had to repaint.
Finished white paint
My parents helped me find a bright white paint (picture to the left) as I felt this color would make my room feel more elegant and clean. I decided I wanted to paint all the walls white and on the farthest wall, paint a british flag. Luckily, my dad loves projects like these and is a handy man! After painting the walls 3 coats of white paint (which took forever to dry!!!), we moved on to the fun part.
Using painter's tape, we sectioned off where we wanted the red stripes of the flag to go on the wall. Once we got that situated, we went in with the red paint, painting 3 layers on. After that, we went through the same process with the dark blue, painting inside the taped lines. Below is the process and finished product of what my wall looks like now. I want to thank my parents for helping me with this project and you all for letting me share my painting process with you!
