Christmas gifts and too much drugstore spending

No, but really take my wallet while I am sleeping someone! If I see it happen I just might bite you though. In all seriousness though, I would like to thank those of you who gave me some of these items as gifts. You're too kind! No, I did not take this incredible photo. My wonderful brother did. :)
We will start in the left hand corner with the Covergirl Clean Oil Control Pressed Powder. This was  recommended to me by S, and so far we are getting along well. It doesn't keep me shine free all day, but it comes close. Moving on to the foundation with red cap, we have the infamous Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation. After hearing countless British Beauty Bloggers rave about it, I had to get my hands in it. Unfortunately, it is unavailable in the US, however sometimes it is available on asos or Amazon. I do not recommend Amazon as this took three weeks to arrive and got lost twice. However, I do highly recommend this foundation. It's lightweight, dewy, smells like fruit in a good way, and cover redness well. I would say this is light to medium coverage depending on how you apply it. The shades are rather yellow and this is almost too dark for me even though it is the lightest shade. I, fortunately do have more yellow undertones so it works pretty well for me, though I can't say those of you with pink undertones will be a very good shade match. It does glide over the face pretty well, though it doesn't float over my very large pores. Then again, what does? Next, just above the foundation in the white bottle, we have the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray. While I am absolutely in love with the scent, I wish I could smell it more on my actual pillow. Are three sprays too few? I am rationing it because this is also unavailable in the US except it is on Amazon  and it  actually did arrive on time! Moving on just below that is the Covergirl eyeshadow in the shade Champagne. This is the perfect highlight for eyes, I've even used it on my cheeks! My one complaint is that Covergirl is wickedly awful when it comes to packaging. It's so cheap and it breaks so easily. I know, it really shouldn't bother me as much as it does! Just below that we have the Naked Basics Palette. This was a Christmas gift from S, and I'm absolutely addicted to using it! My favorite shade is Naked 2, heck, it's probably my favorite matte eyeshadow ever!  Scattered around are the Real Techniques Duo Fiber Brushes, the softest brushes I've ever owned. Limited addition alert people!!  And front and center is the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12Hour Blush in the shade Tipsy. This blush is the perfect balance of peach and pink. It gives me a natural looking flush that lasts all day. Below is the Revlon Lipgloss in the shade Berry Allure, this isn't too sticky and is plummy in all the right places. Moving on we have the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks in the shades Fire & Ice, Mauve it over, and Cherries in the snow . All are lovely.  In between those is the Korres LipButter in the shade Wild Rose. The perfect rosey lip. And in the very large jar in the Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia Body Cream. Heavenly! And finally just above that is the Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze. Another addiction! Phew, thank you for bearing with me through all of that. What are your favorites Christmas Gifts you received?

Could you be the one?|I think I'm in love...

That was quite the anticipation generating title, and let me assure you that what. I am going to talk about today will not disappoint. Ladies and gentlemen I give you the one, the only, the Rimmel London Show Off Lip Laquers!

*please excuse the lack of a photo, blogger and I are having a disagreement. Feel free to swoon over google images though!*

I recently picked up the shade Aurora at my local Ulta, and words can not describe how hard  I have fallen. While this product is new to me,  I have been not-so-patiently waiting for it to arrive near me hear in the States. These have been known as the Rimmel Apocalips in the UK for about a year now. The only thing I dislike about this product is the name change, I mean c'mon,  Show Off?! You can do better, Rimmel. These long lasting, creamy, non-drying, highly pigmented, opaque glosses make me want to belt out At Last along with Etta James. It's perfect for those of us who have been searching for the pigment of a lipstick in the smooth texture of a gloss. These bring all new meaning to the term liquid lipstick.  So, the only question is-Are you ready to fall in love?

You know about us....|Its time for feedback

Ladies and gentlemen, I digress. S & I are waiting patiently to hear from you. In the coming weeks we will be featuring several new series and would like to request COMMENTS. It is not that we are angry at you, it is very much the opposite. We want to hear from you, what products would you like to hear about? What should we try? Do you like our style? Do you enjoy reading this blog? We understand, some of you are shy, so are we. In fact I will straight up admit that I am sometimes shy to a fault. There is no judgement here, only happy beauty/book crazy weirdos :)! So c'mon, lets get this party started, we know you're out there. (hoping you don't hate me now) ~C

Matched, by Ally Condie Review

Hello fellow blog lovers. Long time no see! Over the break I stopped by the library to pick up a quick read. I couldn't find any I was looking for because they were all checked out. In despair, I walked down an isle surrounded by shelves stuffed to the rim with books. I looked over to see the bright green spine of a book titled Matched. I thought why not and checked it out, not expecting much but an easy read.  I am so glad I checked this book out because it engulfed me and I felt as though I was firsthand witnessing the love story told. Below I have written a summary along with who this book would appeal to! Enjoy!!

In the city Cassia lives in, society tells you where you work, what you eat and who you love. At the matching ceremony where you are assigned who you will spend the rest of your life with, Cassia couldn't be happier, she has been matched to her best friend Xander. Once home, she reviews her micro card with all the info about Xander on it (even though she already knows him like the back of her hand). Suddenly a second face appears on the screen, Ky Markham, the outcast from society. Cassia isn't sure what to do and is worried since Ky's status in society did not allow him to be entered in the matching pool. Slowly cassia finds herself falling in love with the only person society looks down upon. When Cassia thinks life couldn't get any better, her world falls apart. Officials question her family, her relationship with with Xander becomes fragile, and Ky becomes unreachable.

Overall I would rate this book a 4/5. There are some emotional scenes. There are no intense or inappropriate scenes (only the occasional holding hands and first kisses). This dystopian romance novel is perfect for anyone 11 and up!
Have fun reading! Comment any of your favorite books you would like me to read and review.
                                        Yours truly,
                                              ~S

Return from Hibernation| It's 2014

Ladies and gentlemen, I must confess-going so long without a blog post has been stressing me out for days! It has been a lovely break, but all good things must come to an end. With that being said, I have  been doing a little too much shopping lately and as soon as I can get my camera up and running there will be blog posts a plenty. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and a happy new year. I know it sounds cheesy but something I am most excited about this year is getting to know all of you even more!
Make sure to check back soon! ~C
