Tricks For Better Beach Waves

Aloha!!! Recently I have been so busy! I have taken drivers ed, just come back from vacation at the beach and started school! There's something about hair during the summer that gives you a naturally beautiful look. During my vacation, I did little styling to my hair and let the beach take over. I have was left with amazing windswept beach waves! As much as we all want to walk along the beach with the wind flying through your hair with no care in the world, this isn't practical! But don't fret, I have a few tips to help you get the perfect beach waves at home!
   1) Sea Salt & Scrunching: After washing your hair and drying it (towel or air drying) until slightly damp, spritz your hair with the sea salt spray of your choice. Comb through and scrunch your hair. Once dry you are given a easy chic hairstyle.
Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray (8oz): $4.74- found at Walmart
Loreal TXT It Tousle Wave Spray : $4.99 found at Ulta
OGX Moroccan Sea Salt Spray: $7.99
   2) Sleeping In A Braid: Make sure that your hair is slightly damp (whether you wash it and dry it or spritz it with water). Braid your hair and go to bed with it in. In the morning, check to make sure your hair is dry and let the braid out to be given loose waves. Spray with a light weight hairspray and you are set for the day.
   3) Sleeping In A Bun: As long as you don't leave that awful crease in your hair, left from a ponytail, sleeping in a high bun is an easy way to get those beautiful waves while still looking stylish.
   4) Using a Curling Wand: If you use a wide barrel, and twist your hair before putting the strand on the wand, you are left with effortless curls. You can also do this the night before and sleep on those curls so when you wake up in the morning you have a "windswept".
All these tricks will leave you with amazing beach waves. You can wear them to school or if you are still experiencing the joys of summer (lucky you) then these would be perfect for any outfit! I will become more present on the blog in the days to come! Sorry again to you all and Caroline for the brief hiatus!
                                                                                                            Yours truly,
                                                                                                                      Sarah C.
